"I want this to be the least listened to episode ever!" That was the first thing to come out of this week's guest on the Coming Up Short podcast, which is something that Eric Rosenblum and Jon Levine were definitely not expecting. Chris Flanagan's desire was not for a bad show, but to actually shower Eric and Jon with compliments. Chris was definitely gunning for the best-guest-ever award.
He was also one of the most interesting guests, with a discussion that ranged from what it's like to start comedy in urban rooms, to taking other people's advice when you're on stage, and so much more. Chris and Jon also discuss their participation in the World Series of Comedy event in Chattanooga and what the takeaways from their performances were.

It's a banner episode for the Coming Up Short podcast as Eric Rosenblum and Jon Levine welcome the patriarch of South Florida comedy into the Chula Vista Studios, Mr. Leon Arp! Eric and Jon have been trying to get Leon on for a long time and the three were finally able to pull it together.
This is a fascinating interview that starts with Leon's storied history as a musical entertainer which began when he was just 13 years old. We learn about his journey from the Great White North down to sunny South Florida with just a few stops in between. The three also discuss how Leon made the jump from music to comedy and why it's so important for him to keep going out, night after night.
The three also talk about the recent Kevin Hart appearance and Speak Friday and celebrate the four South Florida comedians chosen to represent our scene and what a great job they did.

Will Lopez joins Eric Rosenblum and Jon Levine on this week's episode, number 62, of the Coming Up Short podcast and we immediately take on a serious topic. The show starts with a discussion of the new US policy towards Cuba and Will's feelings about it. This is serious, hard-hitting journalism people.
The three quickly move on the World Series of Comedy and Jon's time in Chattanooga. Spoiler alert, he didn't advance. Afterwards, the three discuss Will's music career, how making a career out of comedy is harder than you might think, why selling merch at a show is critical, and why Will puts Dougie Almeida on a pedestal.

The beauty quotient of the Coming Up Short podcast was considerably raised this week and not because Eric Rosenblum and Jon Levine started working out. It's mainly due to this week's guest, the multi-talented and very funny Desiree Cendan.
Desiree drops by the Chula Vista Studios to talk with Jon and Eric about her winding career that started as a child model, through her troubled high school years, across various jobs and finally on stage in front of an audience to talk about it all.
The three also discuss some upcoming shows, including Jon's trip to the World Series of Comedy on Wednesday.
